New visually appealing and durable Panerai models for 2024.

After the new IWC models from this year's Watches & Wonders fair, it's time to set sail (figuratively and literally) on a new adventure and present the new releases from Panerai. After 2023, which was the year of Radiomir, in which the brand paid tribute to its roots and the legendary model, 2024 marks a return to more commercial waters. Models made from new materials, mostly from the Submersible collection, focusing on the partnership in the most famous sailing race (America's Cup) within the Luna Rossa team sponsored by Panerai. Special editions of watches inspired by the Luna Rossa team were first introduced in 2019. This partnership perfectly combines a passion for sailing and cutting-edge technology. In the last decade, technological advances have transformed the America's Cup sailing races, raising speeds from those traditional for sailboats to up to fifty knots per hour. One of the key factors in this incredible acceleration is the application of the latest materials, and this is exactly the focus of the new Panerai Submersible models which we bring you more about below.
Submersible QuarantaQuattro Luna Rossa Ti-Ceramitech™
We start immediately with the main favorite – PAM01466. Perhaps the most interesting model in the collection, this watch comes with a case made of Ti-Ceramitech™ material that combines titanium and ceramic, providing incredible durability and a unique look. This new material was created thanks to titanium (hence the "Ti" in the name) and a special ceramic treatment that gives it a distinctive blue shade. In addition, the patented material is even 10 times more resistant to breakage than standard ceramic, while being 44% lighter than steel. With a diameter of 44 mm and water resistance up to 500 meters, this watch is made for those who do not compromise.

Of course, this watch would not be part of the Luna Rossa series if it did not have red parts on it. On the Submersible QuarantaQuattro model, the strap that combines rubber and fabric has a red line under the case with the collection's name. The inspiration naturally comes from the sponsorship of the Luna Rossa Pirelli Prada sailboat, which has distinctive red lines with the team name on its side and sails. Also, the red motif is found on the dark blue sunburst dial, in the form of the seconds hand located on the subdial at the 9 o'clock position. Besides it, at the 3 o'clock position, there is also a date display in the color of the dial. The model name – QuarantaQuattro – comes from its case size – 44mm, and besides the version with a dark blue dial, the PAM01543 model was also introduced, which comes in white color. Both watches also have the distinctive device that serves as crown protection, which adds robustness and confirms their durability, especially in water sports.

Panerai Submersible Luna Rossa
As the model name shows, PAM01565 is the simplest watch in this Submersible series. The more compact 42mm case, which is a smaller size in the Panerai world, is made of stainless steel and provides water resistance up to 300m. The dial looks similar to the Ti-Ceramitech models but without the new materials on the case and bezel, which is black and provides greater contrast to the dark blue sunburst dial. Also, the difference is in the strap color, which on this model is black. Due to its smaller dimensions and more affordable materials, we are sure that PAM01565 will be a popular choice for everyday wear among luxury watch enthusiasts.
Panerai Submersible GMT Luna Rossa Titanio
PAM1507 is based on the simpler Panerai Submersible Luna Rossa model mentioned above. Both models have a 42 mm case, water resistance up to 300m, but the Submersible GMT Luna Rossa Titanio also has a GMT complication, which is immediately visible by the additional hand on the dial.

Also, the difference is in the bezel color, which is again blue, resulting in less contrast with the dial and the strap, which returns to blue. This top-notch watch will surely appeal to all lovers of an active lifestyle because with this model Panerai pays a sporty homage to its partnership with the Luna Rossa team.
Panerai Submersible Tourbillon GMT Luna Rossa Experience Edition
For the very end, we left the true design marvel of the Submersible collection – PAM01405, which comes in a limited series of only 20 pieces. The black case, strap, bezel, and crown guard form a powerful frame for the skeletonized dial, which provides an unobstructed view of the movement. We must also mention the tourbillon, which is subtly visible in the upper left corner of the dial. The look of this watch is elaborated down to the smallest details, which is also visible in the GMT hand, whose tip is shaped like the sail of the Luna Rossa sailboat.
